Lost radio signals are rarely as mysterious as they first appear. Electrical interference, old devices, neighbourhood technology and weather can produce noises that almost sound intentional.
Even so, such moments have an appeal. A sound appears, disappears again and leaves no simple trace. From that, stories arise about transmitters, signs and messages supposedly received by chance.
Anyone taking these observations seriously should check them technically: frequency, time, device, location and repeatability. Without those details, only an impression remains.
That does not make the stories worthless. They show how thin the boundary between technology and interpretation can be.
